Wednesday Weigh In

I'm so sorry to bore you with my lengthy plateau! It's driving me crazy too. The only reason I can come up with for this plateau is water. I think through all the junk and salty stuff I ate during the Holidays it made me retain a lot of fluid and I'm just slowly getting rid of it. The reason I say this is I feel smaller, clothes are fitting better but the scale isn't moving.

Another reason I think this is because I've been using my bodybugg diligently and exercising a lot and again the scale is not moving. Weird, but I really think water is the answer. At least I hope because I have no other explanation! Anyone else at a plateau?

I'm scheduled for a fill on Jan. 31st. At the least I want to hit my next mini goal of 175lbs by then. That should be doable seeing it's only 4lbs and that gives me like 3.5 weeks! I can't see why I couldn't do that - so long as I can kick this plateaus big butt!

You know I really don't have anything to complain about though, I'm not behind on my weight loss according to my calendar I made. Here is my calendar below even if on Sunday 1/9 I'm still at 179 that means I'm still 5lbs ahead of schedule and that rocks, I couldn't ask for more really. =)

You are making steady progress. It feels like your body is retaining water because it is creating new muscle mass. I bet your measurements reveal more than your weight right now.

Generally when I come back from a holiday where I've eaten a bit differently than normal (aka tons of sodium or fat or whatever...not that I cut those items out of my regular diet, I just try to eat them in a balanced manner), my weight is usually off (and usually due to fluid retention). After Thanksgiving, I was up 4-5 pounds and then I got back on schedule and lost 5 pounds in like a week.

So don't worry. If its any consolation, I think you're doing fabulously! And you're an inspiration to many! Ive been kicking around the same few pounds for awhile now (its not really a plateau because my eating has been less than stellar..thank goodness for my crazy exercise habits...otherwise I would definitely be gaining). Keep up the great work! I love reading your blog!
