Weight Watchers

My husband and I had a real heartfelt conversation the other day. He has struggled with his weight for a long time just like me. He however does not feel like weightloss surgery is for him. I completely understand that, I don’t think it is for everyone. He has however had success with weight watchers in the past and he would like to give that another try. He also has started going to the gym consistently. I am REALLY proud of him; it is so exciting to see him outwardly show that he wants to make a change.

I am usually most successful with weight loss when I have a partner helping me out, which is a lot of the reason I feel that even with the Lap Band I have struggled. I have been doing it on my own and there are just so many temptations around me. So, in efforts to support my husband we are going to join weight watchers together. I have done weight watchers in the past. When I was 16 I lost 30lbs doing it. I think it is a GREAT program, the only problem for me was, and I gained it all back when I stopped counting my points. But this time I won’t be able to gain it back because I have a tiny little pouch that I can’t fit all that much food into. I am really excited about doing this with him. I feel like I can do anything when I have the support of someone else.

Anyone else out there done any weight watchers since being banded??

That is a great idea. You can give each other support. I wish my husband would get on the weight loss band wagon. He keeps saying he is going to but so far, not happening. I can't even get him to go to the gym with me. He keeps making excuses. I guess when he's ready he'll do it. I am not about to nag him, I know how much I hated that myself. Good luck to you both.

Awesome idea. You guys will have each other's backs and make changes as a couple now. What a great way for him to start his journey!
