Hi All! I hope you had a very Merry Christmas! Any good plans for New Years??
I wanted to update you on my progress of cutting out the 5 C's (coffee, chocolate, chips, cake, candy).
Let's break it down..........
Coffee
Typically I would say I have anywhere from 200mg - 300mg of caffeine per day. Today I had 60mg this morning, so I feel I am doing very well at weaning myself off of it. Everyday I have a little less. I plan on dropping it all together by this Thursday, fingers crossed.
Chocolate
Not too shabby here, I've had it a couple times but not in the quantity I am use to. I have not had any today and I'm hoping I can make it through the day without any.
Chips
Totally not remembering chips was on my list I have had them a few times.
Cake
I have not had any cake, I actually passed on the ice cream cake for my dads birthday.
Candy
I can't recall have any candy.
All in all I think I did pretty well. I need to focus on getting rid of the coffee 100% I feel before I can completely eliminate everything else but for once this doesn't feel impossible. =)

Just out of curiousity -- why eliminate coffee other than the caffeine ? Is it a gateway substance that leads to other poor choices?

Good job, I can't cut my coffee, I have a few cups a day and add protein powder to it, it's really not that bad for you, now all the other stuff yes is bad for you and I can cut those with no issues or enjoy once in a blue mood, can't live without my coffee during the week LOL
I'm digging the 5 C's! lol

Happy New Year! I'm trying to get on track for the new year too. Have some goals and getting a fill on the 13th. Its feels so much easier with all my online-friends renewing their goals and really motivated. We can all motivate eachother.
