I got a Bodybugg yes I did!!! I am so so excited I have wanted one for sooo long! There's a bit of a learning curve, there is so much to know but today is my first day wearing it and it's pretty darn cool! The armband "talks" to the wrist band so I always know my calorie burn and how many steps I've taken and it's just awesome. I know I already said that. lol
I'd LOVE to hear from Bodybugg users out there that might have any tips for me!! One thing that confuses me a little is when I put the armband on first thing in the morning.....and then I sync it with the wrist band....I've already burned calories??? Then when I download the info.....it says I've burned something different from what the watch says.....any insight????

Congrats! Glad you like it. I don't have one so can't comment on how to use.
Body band is cool! it works well........haven't had any issues with it saying i've lost cals when i haven't but i haven't used in awhile.
so jealous! I have wanted one of those forever as well! keep us updated on how well it works!
Jealous! I hope you figure out why the loss in calories. I'm sure there is a body bugg board out in cyber land
Yep, add me to the jealous bunch. I want one. :-( but let us know how it works for ya.
Awesome!!! I want. Once you figure it out tell us all about it.
I have the BodyMedia Fit (same thing same company just slightly different branding and software). I wear mine all day and night - except about an hour to bath and let my skin rest. They say that is the best way to get the most accurate calories.
Basically the device will "learn" more about your calorie burn and get more accurate as time goes on. The software online has very complex calculations to figure out your calorie burn. The watch simplifies things a little so it can be off slightly, but they say it should be close (I think they told me within 10%).
Also the device will say you have burned calories when you put it on because you have. While you are sleeping (from 12am - whenever you put it on) you still burn calories and it will estimate those even if you are not wearing the device. As I said before the longer you wear the device the more accurate these estimates are, but if you truely are just sleeping it shouldn't be off by too much.
You will find a couple things as you go on that somewhat surprised me. As you get lighter you will burn less calories for the same activity so make sure you keep the weight in the software pretty close to reality. You don't have to change it every day or anything, but I wouldn't let it get more than 5 pounds off sync. For example, you may burn 600 calories as you sleep now, but later you may only burn 450. I used to be able to burn a ton of calories just shopping, but since I shed my 90 pound jacket I don't burn as many with such a low intensity activity.
I LOVE mine and have used it for almost 10 months now. I have found that I am not as dependent on the day to day numbers, but it is very good to identify trends (like all of a sudden I am burning 300 calories less per day so I need to shake up my routine).
Good luck and if you have any other questions I might be able to answer feel free to send me a note on my blog!
