I wanted to take a moment to share an NSV with you. This actually happened a week or two ago and I kept meaning to tell you, and then I forgot!!!
Many of you are familiar with Lane Bryant and their jean sizing but I will give an overview so that I don’t loose those of you who are not. They don’t have your typical 14/16, 18/20, 22/24, and so on jean sizes, instead they run 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, ect. At my largest I was wearing the size 5 which I am pretty sure is the equivalent to a 22/24 and at this time I also worked briefly at Lane Bryant.
While I would fold the jeans I would dream about the day I might wear the size 1 (if ever), and I remember holding them up thinking “gosh these are so tiny!” Well, a while back Lane Bryant revamped their jeans and tweaked the sizing again. I was not such a huge fan of the new sizing so I bought one pair of jeans in every size smaller than I was so that I had them. It seems like forever now I have been in between sizes. The 2’s were on the verge of being too big but I could not really squeeze myself into the 1’s comfortably just yet. Haha so what I did was wear those spanx tanks to hold my paints up!!!
Anyway, I could not take the baggy 2’s any longer so I tried on the 1’s and VUALA they fit!!!! That’s my magic trick for this post! lol

HOW EXCITING!!! You must dance around all day in your new 1's!!! So happy for you!!! I can't wait for that "day" for me!! Have a great weekend!

that is awesome!! I hate the sizing at layne bryant and torrid! Just give me a regular size, I'm a big girl I can handle it.
WOO HOO!!! I am so excited about your 1s. What a great NSV.
That is very cool! I have been trying on clothes in my closet that havent fit in several months. I feel like I have new clothes now!!! Congrats and keep it up. I love your blog
That's a great trick about the Spanx tank to keep the pants up... I could have used that recently!
I'm also not a fan of LB's new sizing. Really? Is anyone going to be fooled if I say I'm a size 2?
Hi, I am new to following your blog. I am considering the lap band and will be calling my doctor to find out if I qualify for it, if I do my insurance will pay for the majority of it. If you don't mind my asking?? What type of side affects did you have if any. How long where you off of your feet, etc. I have a 5 yr old and an 8 year old.... Excited but nervous at the same time. I am thrilled to read your blog! Not sure if there is a way we can exchange information via the blog or if giving you my email would be easier? Let me know! I look forward to hearing from you! You look fantastic! Jennifer in MI
Congratulations! It's such a great feeling isn't it!
Yay! That's exciting!!! Soon you won't even be able to wear LB anymore at all!
CONGRATS!!!!!! What a great NSV!
