Hmmm......So What Is Restriction Really??
I got my fill this past Friday (my 2nd fill) and I am not sure what I am feeling. Sometimes after I have taken a bite of something I feel this tightness in my chest and it takes a few minutes to go away, but that seems to be only with certain foods. At first I thought I was not chewing well enough but I ate the same thing again and chewed well and still had the same feeling. I am still finding myself to be hungry rather quickly after I have eaten, but I am getting a little bit of a tight feeling here and there, is that Restriction??? I'm not really sure!

woohoo yes that is restriction-or your hours d'ouvre of things to come. You still need more fills but you are getting there. Try a piece of bread-that really was a test of my restriction. Make sure and chew chew chew though-
It took me forever to fine your blog! for some reason it does not link from your picture on mine-

This is how restriction begins. It's almost an unexplainable uncomfortableness that makes you stop eating. Sometimes when you eat something that will swell in your stomach, like bread or crackers this feeling is to be expected. When you have great restriction you will have to stop as soon as you feel this. Consider it your new signal that you are full. If you push it, you WILL be sorry...at least I was. :o) Just wait til the first time that you "slime"...that will be very memorable. Hooray for getting some restriction though!!
lol I am glad I have you all to confirm that it is restriction! yay! So got another question, as I get more fills will I actually stay full? Right now I get the feeling for like 2 minutes then it goes away and I can eat more...I don't know this is just all so weird thank goodness I have you all!
Hi!
I am 18 years old and overweight...
I Love reading all your info! very inspiring!! I have 37 days till my OP and I am incredibly nervous but very excited!!
I have noticed that alot of people have said there are foods you can't have this is something my Dr has not said!
so now I am nervous that I am going to be deprived!!
but your blog is inspirational - THANKS FOR YOUR ADVICE!
I think I'm just like you. Sometimes I feel that restriction other times not. It's a weird feeling. I think we just need MORE fill lol Keep it coming huh.
Yay! I think my 1st fill is like...taking affect or something. I feel so strange to say that but my fill was exactly 3 wks ago tomorrow and over the last 2 days I've felt restriction. I'm eating less, eating slower, and feeling "stuffed". Then I drank some chocolate milk walking around walmart (between a meal) and felt full. Weird!!!! I'm getting my 2nd fill tomorrow and I'm stoked!!! I hope you can figure out these "feelings" and help me with it. haha!
Cool! Thanks for posting that, nowhere near a fill yet but this was good info from you and everyone else.
Hey Thanks for your comment!
I am sooo glad that I am not alone, I had major freak out yesterday I could not control myself - and I just kept thing owell 2 weeks till liquid diet it doesn't matter. but it really does.
Thanks for all your support!

I get my first fill tomorrow. I have had the restriction feeling a few times, even unfilled. It usually happens in the morning, and I even PBd a few times. But Ive only felt it about four times and the rest of the six weeks since surgery I dont even feel like I have a band and swear I could eat an entire cow. Restriction is a tricky little follow... But I cant wait to see more of him around!
Hi Breanne! I just found your blog today and it's great! I am a fellow "bandster" as of 11/20/09 and coincidentally everything your saying in your blogs are exactly what I've been going through especially in regards to restriction since I've been banded (approx. 2 months.) Although, I got my first fill yesterday (5 cc's) and I had a light meal today and boy can I tell a difference. It's the first time I've had restriction in 2 months and it's exactly what I've been waiting for. I don't exactly feel full after taking just one bite but I would love to get to that point...if you know what I mean!! Just know your not alone out there. Keep up the good work and I'll definitely keep following your blog!!
