Water & Caloric Intake

So I feel like blogging but I don't know what I want to say...... Oh I know! I have been doing AWESOME this week with my water intake! I have been getting 60oz+ in each day and I feel great! Before there were somedays where I was not even drinking water and when I was trying I was getting maybe 35oz in, so this is a big step up! I am also back to counting my calories again because it seems when I don't I overdo it. I have decided to trick my body a little by changing the amount of calories I consume everyday. I heard one woman say that she had about 800-900 a day for a long time and it did help her loose and then it just stopped because your body gets to a point where it is like "Whoa shes not feeding me alot so I am going to hold onto this fat." That is what I don't want, so I am going to eat a different amount of calories everyday ranging between 800-1400. I am really curious, how many calories do you all eat?

Hey Lady -

When I started mushies I was only eating about 600 calories a day and started to plateau so I upped it to 1000. Then tried 1200. Still no loss, so went down to 950 yesterday and drank a ton of water. Lost 2 pounds. So I'm going to hang here at 950 for a bit and see what happens!

I have no idea how many calories I consume in a day - but I know it must be different each time. I never seem to stick to certain foods and are trying everything and anything lol.
It also seemed Amy's water post did the trick for both of us.. I too have upped my water intake. Nice to know we actually listen sometimes huh! xx

Wouldnt have a clue! I could do weight watchers points til the cows came home but calories/kilojoules a day - not the foggiest! Here's hoping I'll never know. Keep in mind (here in Australia anyway) all the doctors keep saying you're not on a diet anymore so throw the counters away and be sensible. Yes, I'm still laughing!

I used to keep up with that before but stalled my weight loss for 6 wks so now I'm just using the container-method. I don't eat any more than what would fit into this 2cup bowl I have. and I've been losing ABOUT 0.5 lb a day. Good luck!

I don't count but have done so periodically to check and one week went from 1400 to 600 and somewhere in between over 5 days. I have weight loss patterns. Usually I go down almost 10 pounds than stick for 3 weeks. Then I will get a fill or tighten up (with no rhyme or reason) and go down some more. I have figured out that to keep my morale up I just count the low points and do not count the fluctuations around that number for the 3 week waiting period.

I focus more on protein (because i do not really like it) and water. if I am not eating very much I have a protein drink at night to up my grams. I suck at drinking water!!! You are doing really well with that!

I'm still on liquids but as of tomorrow I start solids. I use Fitday.com to track my calories, weight, protein etc.

I plan to eat about 600 calories my first week on solids and see what happens. If I continue losing I'll stay there. But if I stop or slow I'll up it a bit to see what happens, and I'll definitely up it when I start exercising again.

I think your strategy to eat between 800-1200 is a good one. I plan to eat between 1000-1200 plus exercise 5x per week. I'll let you know how that goes. What I do know for sure is that while the scale hasn't moved for me, people are noticing my body shape changing and have commented on it due to the exercise. I'm working out with a personal trainer 2x per week and 3x per week run/walk/elliptical.
