Raising Money for those who can't afford Surgery???

So bizarro restriction lasted into the night, could not eat dinner at all! Every bite I took left me pb'ing. Yuck! I have not eaten anything yet today, I'll update you when I do! They ordered us pizza at lunch and clearly I can't eat that and I can't really explain why to my coworkers either seeing they don't know I'm banded. That is a little difficult. O well I'm getting use to making up stories lol.

I was thinking about how greatful I am for my band and how sad I would have been had my insurance not covered it. That would have been awful because I wouldn't be banded, there would have been no way to afford it. I really feel for those out there struggling with their insurance companies. Then there are those who don't have insurance at all!!! Man o man.

Are there any charities out there that raise money to help those who can't afford weightloss surgery?? I'd LOVE to raise money for someone like that. Has anyone ever heard of an organization that does stuff like that or anyone have any idea on how to get something like that going?? I feel like I always have good ideas but I'm not very good at running with them.
