Florida, Biggest Loser, Food Addiction

So I am heading to the Orange Lake Resort ^^^^ in Florida tomorrow! I can't wait. I think I could physically really use the sun.
I have really kept on myself this week, taking all my vitamins everyday (multi, vit d, vit a) as well as my metformin. I think I am really starting to feel better. One thing that is hard for me to do is drink water?? Why is this?? It seems I am either 100% on drinking only water or 100% off drinking everything but. I don't know why I can't hit something in the middle. Does anyone else find themselves doing this??
I just watched The Biggest Loser last night, the one from Tuesday night, did you see it?? It was really good. I thought that the temptation they had was really awesome because it really did reflect the reality they would face once home. In case you didn't see it......they closed the kitchen and forced them to eat only the food they provided. In a room they placed all TERRIBLE food on one side and all the good food they have been eating on the show on the other side. They did this for all 3 meals throughout the day.
It was really interesting to see that some of them gave in and ate something bad and some of them were like terrified of the bad food because of where it got them and how far they have come. It was nice to hear some of them say how they really do struggle with a food addiction. Lots of times on TV they just talk about obesity and now how it derived from a food addiction. I'm just saying it is nice to know you aren't alone.
We'll sorry for my chatty cathy way today haha but I won't be able to talk to you guys for a whole week!!! I'll miss you!! I'll post pics when I get home!
Hope the weather is nice your neck of the woods!

Weight Watchers

My husband and I had a real heartfelt conversation the other day. He has struggled with his weight for a long time just like me. He however does not feel like weightloss surgery is for him. I completely understand that, I don’t think it is for everyone. He has however had success with weight watchers in the past and he would like to give that another try. He also has started going to the gym consistently. I am REALLY proud of him; it is so exciting to see him outwardly show that he wants to make a change.

I am usually most successful with weight loss when I have a partner helping me out, which is a lot of the reason I feel that even with the Lap Band I have struggled. I have been doing it on my own and there are just so many temptations around me. So, in efforts to support my husband we are going to join weight watchers together. I have done weight watchers in the past. When I was 16 I lost 30lbs doing it. I think it is a GREAT program, the only problem for me was, and I gained it all back when I stopped counting my points. But this time I won’t be able to gain it back because I have a tiny little pouch that I can’t fit all that much food into. I am really excited about doing this with him. I feel like I can do anything when I have the support of someone else.

Anyone else out there done any weight watchers since being banded??

My 5 Changes

Hi my lovelys!! I miss you guys, talk to me! haha.

So like in my previous post I have decided to change 5 things, just like Ruby did. It took me a while to figure out what they should be....so here they are!

1) Faithfully keep a food log. - I bought a cute little red notepad to write everything down in!
2) Only allow myself 1 Caramel Macchiato from Starbucks per week. - I was drinking them everyday I know I'm bad haha.

3) Go to the Gym 3x a week. - I have not been going at all so I figured 3x a week was a good place to start.
4) Drink 72 ounces of water per day. - I have a 24 ounce water bottle so I am going to fill it up 3x per day.
5) Cut out my after dinner snack. - This is going to be the hardest for me, I'm still not convinced I can do it but I will try real hard!!!

So what do you all think about those ideas??? Does anyone else watch Ruby or am I all alone on this one??
