Fill Update

All went well last night, I got my fill of .1cc so I am up to 7.6cc's. Obviously I don't feel anything yet, that can take up to 2 weeks but my stomach is doing A LOT of gurgling when I am drinking today and it's kind of funny. =) I take a sip and then its like wait for it, wait for it...........gurgle gurgle gurgle gurgle lol.

When I told Pam (my nurse practitioner) that I was coming to the next seminar with my friend, she was very excited!! She asked me if I would speak, and of course I said yes I was so honored she asked. I'm not sure what I'll say yet, any suggestions would be fabulous! =)

I think I've told you this before but Pam has told me before that for some reason (unknown to her) it seems that men generally are having more success than woman with the Band. Not that woman aren't but the men are taking more weight off over the long run, interesting. She actually used the words "you're the exception" to me last night. So flattered but there is nothing special about me, I just haven't given up. You don't give up either, =)

Going for a fill......

I have four weeks left until I go away and I'm just now starting to fill like I need a fill. So I am going to Lahey tonight to see my dearly beloved nurse practitioner for a wee little adjustment, .1cc. Right now I am at 7.5cc and a while back I was at 7.8 and that is when I felt like I was in the green zone so I am slowly trying to make my way back there.

I have a friend who also might be thinking about having the lap band. They aren't sure yet but they've at least agreed to go to the next seminar with me on May 14th so I am really excited about that, I can't wait to tell Pam tonight when I see her!

I'll update you all in a few days as to how this fill goes and what I am feeling!! =) Hope you are well!

I am happy to report that I have gotten another lb off of me and am 156lbs again. I am really happy but I feel like I really fight for every pound at this point. I didn't really believe people who said the last few lbs are the hardest but I do now!

I have 5 weeks until I leave for my cruise, my goal is the hit 150lbs by then. I really really want to hit my next mini goal by then which is 147lbs but realistically that won't happen. Heck, 150 might not even happen but at least that is attainable!!!  =)

Also, I am moving in 4 weeks from today. I live in MA right now right on the NH border. Due to the fact I work in NH (so does the hubby) we are moving about 45 minutes north of where we are now to NH, that way we don't have to pay MA Tax anymore. Gotta love NH, no tax. =) They get you in other ways though. So I am feeling a little stressed with all the packing for the move and the cruise and trying to loose weight and the costs of moving ect. I am trying to stay focused but it's hard.

Plus-sized Model Crystal Renn

This is a picture of Crystal Rem. I worked at Lane Bryant a long time ago and she often was a model for them so I recognized her from the advertisements. Here is a link to the article if you want the whole story but basically she struggled with an eating disorder to be thin like the professional scout that found her told her she had to be. Later she gained weight and became a successful plus size model and now as you can see (picture on the left) she has returned to a smaller frame.

"Renn said to the United Kingdom's Daily Mail. 'Now I'm a 6, 8, sometimes a 10, depending on what designer I'm wearing.'"

I have a feeling designer sizes are much like wedding dress sizes, awful! Meaning, I think shes probably smaller than 6/8. I'm a 6/8 and I don't look anywhere close to that tiny! I'm not criticizing her at all because heck I would LOVE to look that fabulous, I just hope she's healthy you know?

Anyway I know it's a little off topic I just thought it was interesting!!!! I walked a 5k yesterday in the abnormal April New England Heat, it was like 90! I loved it!  =)

Serious Business!

Hi everyone! Long time no blog!  =)
I'm spreading out my posts more lately because I don't have a TON to say so I'd rather do longer posts less often then short ones all the time.
For the past 5 weeks I've been working out consistently and I'm really impressed/proud of myself. In the past I'd work out hard for a week and then be like "ok that's good" and then I'd loose motivation and stop. I'm not doing anything hardcore, just 45 minutes of walking. I think part of my success has had to do with the fact that I am not doing it alone, my mom and I walk together. Also, my goal is walking 6 days per week 5 at the very least if I'm real busy that week and I won't skip two days in a row. Every time I skip that extra day, that is when I usually don't return to working out.
I have also been consistently doing my Jackie Warner circuit training and that alone with walking has really toned me! My weight is holding steady around 157lbs but I have to measure because I know I've lost inches. The Jackie DVD has a legs, abs, and arms workout and I've been doing each twice a week but I'm not so concerned with my legs and abs as much as my arms especially seeing I have a cruise coming up in 7 weeks! From here on out I think I am going to 3 days of arms, one of abs, and one of legs. The abs and legs will be in-between the days I do arms of course.
I have been doing a little better with food. For lent I gave up Candy and for once in my life I actually completed (well we are almost there) something I said I was going to do for lent, so it's been almost 40 days, no candy! I am going to continue this. I'm not saying I can't have chocolate but no like legit candy pieces or candy bars, I don't need the sugar stick lol. Also I'm not sure how long its been but for a few weeks now I have decreased the size of my Macchiato from starbucks down to a medium and get out the extra caramel. I've been saving myself like 200 calories just right there.
Over the next few weeks I'm really trying to focus on my nutrition even more. I put my bodybugg back on today and am going to use it religiously. I really want to get back to 150lbs by the cruise. It's only 7lbs, I can do it!
I hope you are all well, thanks for reading!!!  =)
