I feel silly getting excited over one pound but it just makes me so happy to see the scale going down. The 40lbs I lost this past year was really lost the first 4 months after being banded and than I had that whole fill fiasco and then lost pretty much nothing the rest of the year. Up until recently that is! Is it just me or do you guys find yourself getting siked over a small loss as well??

Bandiversary
I would like to talk about my One year Bandiversary though! It was a couple days ago on the 19th. Sorry I couldn’t blog that day. My cousin’s engagement party was that day and I was pretty busy trying to prepare for it.
So let’s talk numbers………I lost 40lbs in one year. I’ll just be honest I’m disappointed in that number but I have no one to blame but myself. I know I shouldn’t be, it’s weird I’m really proud and then I am really not so proud. I have decided to just look forward (because that is all I can do) my goal for the coming year is to loose 62lbs to get me to 150lbs. I’m a little worried that I won’t make the goal but when I break it down, I only have to loose less than 1.25 lbs per week to make that goal and that seems really attainable.
Thanks for all your support over the last year and I look forward to getting to know you all better over the coming year!!!!

Wednesday Weigh In Results!
212 Baby!! Whoohooo out of the teens I am so siked! Even though I was down to 214 in my stats I was fluctuating up and down like always. I was technically at 216 last Friday so really I went from 216 to 212, so I am thrilled! I've been hitting the gym doing 1 hour of cardio everyday and I feel really good! Drinking lots of water, not too much snacking I'm shocked at how well I'm doing. I feel like I am at the same place I was back before I had all my fluid taken out! I'm going to see Pam my Nurse Practitioner at Lahey in 2 weeks from today and I'm pushing to drop another 5lbs by then. Fingers crossed!

Workouts and Goals
Another con is that I've been insanely hungry all day, like insanely hungry and I don't like it.
I can't wait until Wednesday's weight in. I'm really excited. I'm hoping for 3lbs lost to bring me to 211 that would rock.
Oh and I had this epiphany today while talking to my mom. I felt so terrible when I started this journey at 252lbs so terrible that I've been so so so thrilled and happy with my weight loss results thus far. I think that this is the reason that I really have no been all that motivated to loose quickly, I've just been so happy. I'm started reevaluate my goals. I'm not sure what my end goal weight is anymore. I've decided to right now focus on getting to 150lbs because that will put me in the normal range for my height and when I get that I'll think it over some more and choose a goal weight then.
Have you guys found yourself changing your goals as time goes by??

YUMO!
Man I’ve been so busy all I can think about doing it blogging but I just haven’t found time so I am cutting lunch early today so I can!
First off I wanted to tell you that I “created” a new salad that I’m in love with….it’s like a cup of baby spinach with 2 large sliced strawberries on it and 2 servings (14g) of these honey roasted sliced almonds on top and then I use Ken’s Steakhouse Raspberry & Walnut Dressing…YUMO! Oh and I am a bit of a dressing fanatic so I use the recommended serving size plus another half so that is 48g, but still the whole salad is 203 calories I mean really you can’t beat that. I know there isn’t protein in there but I don’t always feel like eating meat and I don’t need meat to feel full.
I’m challenging myself to not step on the scale until next Wednesday the 16th and then from there on out I will do an every Wednesday weigh in. I’ve been a little fanatical about checking every morning so I don’t want to become obsessed. I’ve been doing pretty darn good exercise wise, day before yesterday I did 4 miles on my bike soo much fun and I’ve also been going to the gym often. I did go the other day though and no ellipticals where available so that was a bummer. Oh and I’ve also been doing pilates about 5 times a week and am feeling really strong from that, I love pilates – always have,
So I’ll definitely be blogging before the 16th but stay tuned before THERE WILL BE A WEIGHT LOSS come the 16th!!
ps. I just noticed I have 99 followers woohooo almost 100 please one more person follow me and make my day haha. Oh let me count the ways I've been sucked into the blogger world =)

Whatcha Think???
I think that an N.S.V. (non-scale victory) is just as important when you compared to a weight loss goal, don’t you? Myself included, it seems that lots of us often over look the impact that they have on our lives and this journey we are all on. There are so many “challenges” out there (which I love I must say) but they all pertain to numbers and the scale.
I’d like to propose a new concept, an N.S.V Challenge, a goal that we want to accomplish by a specific time. I still am unsure what my NSV will be but for example it could be things such as, climbing a rock wall, running a mile, you name it and it can be your N.S.V. so long as it doesn’t deal with the scale.
This is just an idea as of right now. I am blogging about this because I really am looking to all of your for idea on this “challenge.” I have questions like….
- What should the time frame be on this?
- Should there be a prize?
- How should we keep track of it all?
- Should everyone involved update on their goal status weekly?
I am looking for any and all suggestions. Oh and if you have examples for anyone that might not get the whole NSV thing, please list some!!! Sometimes when you finally take the focus away from the numbers I think that is when you start to loose them.
Thanks lovelies!!!
