The Mirror vs The Photo

Strange title, I know. Every morning when I look in the mirror to get ready I am pretty happy with the way I look. Of course I can't wait to get to my goal weight but I don't think I look fat or anything. I noticed the other day however, when I saw a photo of myself and was very unhappy that something was not adding up. Is what I am seeing the mirror or the photo reality? I'm not sure. I see fat in the photo and looking good in the mirror, does anyone else experience this? It seems strange to me.

Also, I made a fill appointment for mid March! Yay, the last time I went was in November. I am not going to get anymore than .1cc as I'd like to slowly get back to my 7.8 before I had to get some taken out. I'm going on a Cruise at the end of May again this year so I don't want to do anything too aggressive fill wise before I go. I'll probably make another appointment to go after my cruise. Maybe I won't need it though, I'm trying to to do better but I really struggle with bad habits. Oh 2012, the year of breaking bad habits. =)

Last Week

All in all I had what I consider to be a very successful week last week. Everyday but one I brought my lunch to work (which I NEVER do). I think it was Wednesday I just completely forgot. Also I counted my calories and 5 out of 7 days stayed under 1500 calories. The other two days, one of them was just under 1700 and the other I kind of lost track of but I know it was under 2000. Last night I did my Jackie Warner abs workout. I have not done it in a while and to my surprise I'm not sore. I feel it of course but it doesn't kill like it has in the past, guess I'm in better shape than I thought!

This week I'd like to try and keep my target calorie count between 1400-1450 now that I am more use to eating less. I would also like to incorporate some cardio into my schedule but I am a little concerned. Whenever I start cardio I become more hungry so I am worried with decreasing my calorie count and upping my workouts, that I will be crazy hungry. I think I'm just going to have to do it anyway though, I'll let you know how it turns out!  =)

Success!

Hi Again!

I wanted to report that yesterday I had great success and did not snack once! I feel so great about that! When I got home from work last night I cooked dinner and then made my lunch for today and cleaned up. That took me about an hour and then I ate, practiced piano and did a little laundry. I didn't sit down to watch TV until 8:15, keeping busy really helped. So since day one was a success I am going to try and do the same today. I think today will be even easier because I have piano practice tonight and that gets me out of the house for at least 45 minutes. I would really love to hit my goal by my cruise and at this point I need to loose 1lb per week to do that, so game on! =)

Snacking

My snacking has gotten better choice wise, but not quantity wise so that is what I am about to tackle now. It really is a mind over matter struggle. As long as I get three adequate meals in me each day I should not need a snack to fuel my body. Perhaps I need it to fuel my boredom but not my body lol. I'm going to try and stay busy and watch less TV because the more I watch TV the more I want to eat. I'm taking piano lessons so if I practice more often that will keep my fingers away from the food!!!

I am at this weird point in my journey where I want a fill but I don't. I don't know how to explain it other than that. I do feel like I could use one, just a little one but then I am also mad at myself that I have gained a little weight back so I want to loose it without the aid of a fill. Does that even make sense? I figured I would give it until March and then go get one, we will see!!!

Thanks for listening!  =)

Hello 2012

Hello 2012!! Although I really enjoyed 2011 I am very excited for this new year, I just have a feeling that there will be good things to come.

Now is the time to really focus on cutting my junky 5 c's. To talk about coffee for a minute because a lot of people are asking me why I want to give it up. I probably only have 2 "coffees" per day but I like the most high calorie macchiatos ect, from Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts. So I need to give these up for a little while because I feel addicted to them and I cannot stand it when I feel like something has that much "control" over it. I probably will not give coffee up forever but I need have a better grasp in it. The things I really do want to give up for some significant time. It would be better to create a habit that those things are only consumed when I'm at a party or special occasion.

I also need to start focusing on working out. I'm not setting any high expectations to workout 1 hour 6 days a week but I'd like to accomplish 30 minutes 4 days per week. I that this is doable. Hello 2012!!!
