YUMO!

Hello!!!

Man I’ve been so busy all I can think about doing it blogging but I just haven’t found time so I am cutting lunch early today so I can!

First off I wanted to tell you that I “created” a new salad that I’m in love with….it’s like a cup of baby spinach with 2 large sliced strawberries on it and 2 servings (14g) of these honey roasted sliced almonds on top and then I use Ken’s Steakhouse Raspberry & Walnut Dressing…YUMO! Oh and I am a bit of a dressing fanatic so I use the recommended serving size plus another half so that is 48g, but still the whole salad is 203 calories I mean really you can’t beat that. I know there isn’t protein in there but I don’t always feel like eating meat and I don’t need meat to feel full.

I’m challenging myself to not step on the scale until next Wednesday the 16th and then from there on out I will do an every Wednesday weigh in. I’ve been a little fanatical about checking every morning so I don’t want to become obsessed. I’ve been doing pretty darn good exercise wise, day before yesterday I did 4 miles on my bike soo much fun and I’ve also been going to the gym often. I did go the other day though and no ellipticals where available so that was a bummer. Oh and I’ve also been doing pilates about 5 times a week and am feeling really strong from that, I love pilates – always have,

So I’ll definitely be blogging before the 16th but stay tuned before THERE WILL BE A WEIGHT LOSS come the 16th!!

ps. I just noticed I have 99 followers woohooo almost 100 please one more person follow me and make my day haha. Oh let me count the ways I've been sucked into the blogger world =)

Whatcha Think???

I think that an N.S.V. (non-scale victory) is just as important when you compared to a weight loss goal, don’t you? Myself included, it seems that lots of us often over look the impact that they have on our lives and this journey we are all on. There are so many “challenges” out there (which I love I must say) but they all pertain to numbers and the scale.

I’d like to propose a new concept, an N.S.V Challenge, a goal that we want to accomplish by a specific time. I still am unsure what my NSV will be but for example it could be things such as, climbing a rock wall, running a mile, you name it and it can be your N.S.V. so long as it doesn’t deal with the scale.

This is just an idea as of right now. I am blogging about this because I really am looking to all of your for idea on this “challenge.” I have questions like….

  1. What should the time frame be on this?
  2. Should there be a prize?
  3. How should we keep track of it all?
  4. Should everyone involved update on their goal status weekly?

I am looking for any and all suggestions. Oh and if you have examples for anyone that might not get the whole NSV thing, please list some!!! Sometimes when you finally take the focus away from the numbers I think that is when you start to loose them.

Thanks lovelies!!!
